8,365 candidates have been dismissed over malpractice for the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) job opportunities that were advertised in April last year.

Apparently, the dismissed candidates were involved in cheating while others failed to comply with the instructions and did not pass the integrity check

A total 30,471 candidates sat for the first online assessment (Aptitude) that was conducted last week, with only 10,235 candidates hitting the 40% pass mark in the interviews conducted by an Independent service provider company from Netherlands know as “Test Gorilla”.

11,871 candidates scored below 40% and were subsequently disqualified to proceed to the next assessment stage which will be announced in due course.

These applicants failed to comply with the instructions and did not pass the integrity check.

Initially, the examiner had set the pass mark at 70%, but was forced to revise it to 40% following the high rate of failures.

The candidates that hit the 40% and above will proceed to the second level of assessment in a date that will be communicated to the successful candidates through their email addresses.
