Former URA Boss Doris Akol Scoops IMF Job

The former Commissioner General, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has scooped a top job at the coveted International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Akol has been appointed the Technical Assistance Advisor at the Washington based International financial institution-IMF.

The former KCCA Executive director, Jennifer Musisi was among the first to appoint Akol upon the new appointment.

She posted on Twitter saying, “Congratulations to one of Africa’s most brilliant tax administrators and legal professionals on your ascension to Technical Assistance Advisor International Monetary Fund @DDorisAkol. They’ve grabbed a gem!”

Doris Akol served as the URA Commissioner General from 2014 to 2018 replacing Allen Kagina who retired after two consecutive five-year terms at the helm of the URA.
