Aciii Sub- County – The calm community of Atolit village, Alwala parish, has been rocked by a horrifying discovery.
On the afternoon of February 4th, residents found the lifeless body of an elderly woman inside her home.
The woman, who was in her 80s, had been brutally murdered and locked inside.
According to Mr. Ongia Richard, the local council representative, the elderly woman was last seen at the Alwala market on Sunday.
The gruesome discovery was made by her grandson’s wife, who had gone out to harvest sweet potatoes earlier today.
Finding the house suspiciously locked, she forced the door open and stumbled upon a harrowing sight—the elderly woman had been savagely assaulted and murdered, with her body placed on the red paper.
Mr. Ongia speculated that the motive for this heinous crime could be linked to the woman’s recent monetary transaction of sage money.
She had received a some of money the previous week, possibly making her a target for robbery.
He emphasized that the victim had no known disputes with anyone in the village, making the crime all the more perplexing.
Police from the Acii police outpost promptly arrived at the scene and have initiated an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding this brutal murder.
